Here you shall find a whole lot of information in connection with trekking, backpacking and generally speaking walking out in the open. This place is dedicated to people who love nature or at least like to walk out in the wilderness, step into places seldom visited or in other words to walk along trails different than those in city parks.

None of the routes herein provided imply having to camp or sleep out, that is, all of them shall allow you to go back home within the same day exception made of touristic visits to places rather far from Madrid. There are routes for all tastes: short and flat, medium long but needing some unusual effort and some other medium long too but requiring medium to high efforts thus needing some kind of better or special physical shape. There are also descriptions that involve a whole weekend and approach more to touristic goings than to pure trekking events as we say above. These are clearly indicated.

The greatest part of them are based in Madrid or close areas as an origin and go to places located within the same province of Madrid or within the neighbouring provinces of Avila, Toledo, Cuenca, Segovia or Guadalajara. There are some more places too located elsewhere.

However you need to know a little more than some spanish to understand the contents of each individual route. Unfortunately we do not have the time to translate them all therefore a medium knowledge of spanish language is a must.

May we also add that we do not organize events of any kind and for that purpose you should have to contact local clubs or some travel agencies dedicated to that job for weekends or longer periods. How come it is so ? The reason is that this website is made and maintained by just two people and we do not have the time or the means to engage in a task requiring time and expenses (it would more or less be a business, small, but a business after all) and perhaps more people that just the two of us.

Please use the maps in nearly each route (the ones missing are in preparation) to locate yourself with the aid of a road map.
